Binocular headset

Binoculars headset concept
Design represents a completely different approach to the telescope itself. Using modern technologies from the fields of virtual and augmented reality, it would be possible to design a completely new and original optical instrument for outdoor activities. The design is based on the concept of virtual reality goggles, however I tried to design the product in a more subtle way so that it could be easily put on, used and then taken off again. This is also helped by a simple textile knitted rubber strap, similar to that of ski goggles.
The product is lined on the inside with foam and sits comfortably on the face. The visor consists of two parts. A transparent glass display, which serves both to project information from augmented reality and to darken the glass in response to lighting conditions. In the inner part, is the digital optics itself, this is made up of two semi-circular lenses, these respond precisely to eye movement and allow full peripheral vision. Next to the lens, there are also sensors on both sides for the functions. These include functions such as thermal imaging, laser rangefinder and night vision with illumination.

The product is further enhanced with a small audio augmented reality system that can be simply clipped to the visor strap. This technology allows you to comfortably distinguish and capture sounds from the environment and from the headset. All these features make the product a multifunctional hiking and sports accessory for the general public.
The project was commissioned as a futuristic concept of the future binoculars
